Thanks for your patience as we took some time to change our name from Baby Bloomer Magazine to Boomer Coffee House. During this update, we also moved to a super high speed server and redesigned our site layout to feature more of the interesting articles submitted by so many of our contributors.
Rumors of Food Shortages in the Air

Last year I began hearing rumors of food shortages but was not sure how much to believe these stories. At the same time, the Derry Brownfield radio show from Missouri occasionaly mentioned the growing shortages in the food supply as well.
Then in February, I found a short lived article with the headline "Middle Class May Be Subject To Food Rations, Warns UN," which can still be found in some remote corners of the web — just google the headline.
So when Tiffany wrote her article on Power Quinoa, I was very interested because it seemd that Quinoa would be a grain that I could not only store for a rainy day, but also use as a healthy new food.
